The OnBase Connector for Esker DeliveryWare allows you to use the OnBase enterprise content management solution as your back-end repository for storing documents captured with Esker DeliveryWare. A Universal Output Connector is created to which DeliveryWare can route business documents. This solution also can integrate with common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, such as SAP® systems and the Oracle® E-Business Suite, to link routed documents to their corresponding ERP transactions.

Esker DeliveryWare captures documents, regardless of origination, -- ERP/CRM reports, fax, e-mail, scanned images, XML data, etc. - and routes them via the Esker DeliveryWare Rules Engine to a specific destination based upon a pre-configured set of rules. This integrations allows one such destination to be the OnBase repository, where the document is kept in a secure, digital environment; thus, reducing dependency on paper, minimizing information loss and assisting with regulatory compliance initiatives.

In addition, Esker DeliveryWare accommodates the ability to automatically perform transactions inside an ERP system. The OnBase Connector for Esker DeliveryWare allows the Rules Engine to route a document to the ERP application, perform transactions within the application and then route the document and necessary ERP data to OnBase so that the document and transaction are linked without any manual intervention. The document can now be retrieved from the ERP application simply by recalling the business transaction and opening the attached document.

A Sales department, for instance, may receive sales orders via a fax server. When the order arrives in the fax server, Esker DeliveryWare will read and route the document. In this instance, Esker OCRs the document and automatically performs multiple transactions inside the ERP application - converting the order as an ERP transaction, creating an invoice for the customer, sending notification to the fulfillment department. Also, the document is stored with the OnBase content repository and linked to the appropriate ERP transactions. Therefore, if the original document needed to be referenced, users would only need to recall the ERP transaction and open the attached document.
